Orcadian Devonian Lake Basin Field Trip

The Devonian Orcadian Lake Basin Four Days – 20 – 23 June 2024 This field excursion will provide a tour of the Middle Devonian lacustrine succession of northern Scotland. The aim of the excursion is to follow a tightly constrained interval across the basin to examine lateral trends in the facies encountered and consider the wider controls on the development of lacustrine stratigraphy in a closed basin subject to regular, climatically driven, lake level fluctuations.

£800.00 per person Led by Steven Andrews – UHI
